Good morning. Thank God it’s not raining on this 5th day of October. Yesterday I spoke a little bit about people wearing their jackets and leather coats because it was the first cold day. I talked about how people walk around, they strut more because they’ve got this cool jacket and they know they look thin. It’s funny, I’m laughing about the people and here I am putting on my cool jacket so I could not look so heavy – not that I’m heavy but not that I look so heavy.
Yesterday a lot of great umbrella pictures. It rained all day. But the problem I’m running into on my new location is there’s a big business office I think maybe 16 stories, a lot of secretaries in it going in and out and of course I can’t remember everyone. So there are some very cool looking secretaries, some secretaries of cool outfit. So they’re starting to realize there’s a guy outside taking pictures and what is he doing?
Some of them stop and ask me and I explain to them what the project is. I said, “It’s Portraits of New York. It’s a project here on 7th Avenue on fashion,” and they like it. Then they’re going to start wearing their different outfits. I told them, “You bring different outfits, put you on there.” So that’s good. But then there’s always the bitch or the crazy guy who thinks I’m stalking them. I have to explain to them that I’m not and they walk away very aggravated like I’m lying or I’m just making something up.
But everything is going well and good at this new location, Rock and Soul. A lot of cool DJ’s of Manhattan come there. It could be somebody walking down the street really like cool looking with a cool hat, tattoos and usually they come right into that store, that’s why they’re there.
Tonight Tony Roma has a friend who opens up a wine bar. So I’ll be doing that party tonight.
Signing off.
