Audioblog… a new chapter

Yeah. I don’t know if the first one recorded – the first blog. I hope this works. So, I want to do the first one over again, I guess this blog thing it’s new to me.

Anyway, I’m working for two different stores here in the city. One is Lebanese, Muslim Lebanese, and then other ones are Pakistani. The first store is right on 32nd Street by Penn Station. I’m outside all day, convincing people to go into the store, bring some people in and sell some cameras.

If both owners are happy with what I’m doing, then I’m getting a decent salary, thank God for that.

The funny thing is, that this one (store) on 32nd Street is next door to a very big church, Catholic Church. I think it’s used by Filipinos or Chinese, it’s different Asians, Catholics or Christians. What’s interesting is, on the other side (there) is a very big wig and hair extensions store.

So you have all the religious fanatics (sorry for calling them fanatics but some of them – they’re praying in front of the church. A lot are homeless people, looking for an answer or hope and pray.) On the other end, with these wigs and extension. a lot of prostitutes or women of the night or go-go dancers, (I am not saying that go-go dancers are prostitutes) but wild women go there, so you got the wild women, , you got the religious people. And then on top of all that, there’s a Rehabilitation Methadone Clinic, 3 stores, three doors down. So, you got these ex drug addicts or current drug addicts.

The photography is great which is going to add to Portraits of New York. I’m happy just that I am at a new place, not in Chinatown any more.

Anyway. I am repeating myself, sorry. The Viper Club was exciting, the African dance party was exciting. This is just Friday and Saturday. I want to get home on Sunday. My ex-wife and stepdaughter are staying with the kids and like, I want to get home tonight. I don’t want to get detoured by an open bar party….
