Jumping into yesterday’s photography. I’m very paranoid with this cop on my ass about potentially bringing me in and they don’t like the way I hold the camera up and look at the buildings but I take pictures of people. He said I was being sneaky. There are no rules or laws yet but they can get on my ass. So I toned it down halfway. Still a lot of great pictures.
Let’s back up to Friday night. Big Mike told me about a party, three rock n’ roll bands, Open bar. He left out one fact, he left out one bit of information. It was a super lesbian bar. Anyway, Open bar was from 6 to 8, I got there at 8. Of course, I’m broke and I don’t like to spend money on alcohol. I felt like having a couple of drinks since I’ve been so good lately not drinking.
Anyway, I talked to the owner of the club that I’m a photographer from Portraits of New York, I want to cover the bands and all the activities and everything. He said, “I’ll extend the Open bar to you for another half hour,” just for me. So that was great – great lesbian pictures, tough lesbians with tattoos. They’re the ones that asked the most questions why I’m taking pictures. They’re the toughest customers in my world of taking pictures.
Anyway, the train’s here. [sound of train] That’s the train. The train’s here right now, I want to continue this later on.
Signing off.
