Downtown, especially the Canal street area is very international, especially with regards to street vendors with knock-off items, no license to sell, etc. The raids are regular, but the demand for the cheap look-alikes is tremendous. The people from Africa work really really really hard to provide for their families back home. They work long hours and they are sweet. They all embrace Keith with his crazy camera.
